If we want to keep Thierry Henry, we need to get a new away kit. He probably took one look at those socks and said to himself 'Do I want to play for Barca, which has the best looking kit in the world, or do I want to look like a candy cane?'

I mean, it's not even like the old JVC and SEGA away kits, which looked like someone had been sick on you, or like you were trying to make someone sick. At least in those days one could say being psychedelic was somewhat fashionable in a lowbrow, budget, ugly sort of way.

Our new away kit is just plain well, plain. Sure, I like the red currant, I don't even mind the white shirt, but the striped socks look horrible. I was genuinely hoping for a return to the dark blue away kit. Thought it looked smart.
