Default Suggestion

Well, seeing all the SPAM that has been going all recently (even porn spam)... I suggest: shouldn't you take measures in order to not allow bots to register to the site? I dunno, maybe some kind of code you have to introduce when you register, smth like that. Just a suggestion.

There was porn spam, but i've deleted it all. SpamBots only tend to post in one Forum, mainly the Introduce yourself. Since I got rid of th WC Forum (Due to massive inactivity), they've moved elsewhere.

And every forum I go on has been a victim of Spam Botting, they are on the increase.

Oh come on, it's really getting ridiculous... there is new porn spam EVERY single night (well, right now it should be morning in UK; 1.32 am here). Shouldn't the Administrators take measures against that? Something more drastic than erasing the topics?

Yes, I actually did, but I don't think that with vBulletin there is some option to do that, isn't it? It's annoying, spam is everywhere, and if you don't take measures it will literally invade the site (i'm talking from experience)

I saw in another forum that there is a code that prevents users with less than a certain quantity of posts from publishing any external URL... Don't remember right now if it was vBulletin, but I think it was

Try validating the accounts? I think that will help although it's difficult to see wheter he's a spammer from his nick.

Or make a flood controll..

Yeah, email validation is the easiest way to stop them signing up.
