The stage is set for the apparent showman beckham, when he joined the travelling circus of galacticos it was seen as the move that would push Beckham up to the heavens but ended up sending him crashing down, dropped by the new harsher regime of capello and sent to the international dustbin it seemed that a career littered with drama was going to end on a whimper. But no behold jus a few months later Beckham got his england recall and duly delivered what could be the saving grace of McLaren's England regime. Such dramatic and ironic situations Beckham has found him in that he has saved the lives of his would be executioners who's actions despite being made to rethink their strategies will still end with the end product everyone had expected but with a twist. A few months ago it seemed it would end on a whimper yet now the king of dramatic finishes (Greece, champs league final 1999, the game where he scored a hat trick against his eventual new club real madrid right before he left man united, his tearful resignation as england captain)has the chance to finish his career as a top level footballer in the way he started it back in 1996 when he beat neil sullivan from the half way line in dramatic and extroadinary circumstances. I can see it now 90th minute free kick Beckham scores la liga won a few months later the hollywood movie comes out. Good luck Madrid and good luck beckham.

What about Calderon now begging him to stay when a few months ago he called him a second-rate Hollwood actor with no future?

Got to laugh haven't you?

Beckham never deserved the critiscism he got but it happens you watch when Gerrard is 30 + years old I bet it will be the same it was the same with zidane if anyone remembers he was being criticizes for being in the french squad but ended up ending his career in dramatic circumstances for which he will allways be remembered for sure it would have been better fi he woulda won the world cup and lifted it but I guess you cant win them all but he's definately made it so no one will ever forget him.
