Default The Future Is Bright The Future Is Col Utd!

A new era is around the corner i feel for Colchester United, with the news Peter Heard has quit the club as chairman maybe now Robbie Cowling will dig into his pockets even more after adding the veteran Tedy Sheringham, hes also not afraid to pay forplayers with Mark Yeates who knows the place well and the league having been at two championship sides this season and Clive Platt who we know can score goals in League 2 but the owner has shown faith in paying £300,000 and a new club record so this must mean a good signing. Luke Guttridge will also bring stability and depth into the midfield which Colchester lacked last season.

Players such as Jamie Cureton, Chris Iwelumo and Richard Garcia who have decided to move on from the club should remember that Colchester showed faith in them when bringing them in, Cureton last year was sitting in Swindon reserves, Garcia was given a chance when he joined after being a forgotten man at West Ham. Now Wayne Brown has decided to join them in the long list of wantaways he needs to take a long hard look at himself after all the faith not only Colchester have shown but the supporters.

So hopefully now the big star of Sheringham can attract more players to the club and set the bal rolling and show that Colchester are actaully a big club and are prepared to pay big wages for their players. A good season ahead for the U's!!
