Im currently playing with Leeds in the Championship, now in my 3rd season in the game.
Although I am 9th in the league with 20 games gone, I can not help feeling that something is not quite right.
Went up 1st season via the playoffs which taking the minus 15 into account wasnt a bad result.
2nd season missed out on the playoffs by 1 point - mainly thanks to a excellent mid season run of about 10 games won in a row, although struggled both before and after that. But again... for a side just promoted not a bad achievement.
Now... this season I havnt had an awful start but with the side I now have which personally I think should be capable of challenging for the title, im just not confident in my results or the way im playing. Scoring goals is not a huge huge problem although sumtimes with the ammount of chances I have should kill games off ( possible bug ) but I just cant seem to get it together defensively.
I bought in the leagues highest rated keeper from last season (Simonsen) and he seems to be doing a pretty good job but like I say I just have no confidence in my defence. Ever since I started with Leeds in all divisions I only ever seem to lose by the odd goal, and draw and awful lot of games, even when I totally dominate the opposition (although have been smashed 5 and 6 nill on 1 or 2 occasion) but those aside usually close contests which I seem to lose or draw more than I win.
I really cant put my finger on whats going wrong but am started to get really frustrated, im not a million miles away I know that I just cant get things quite the way I want. I have a decent side but just cannot get a solid defence, or even really to gel as a team. As you can see I have a plenty of money to spend for this league (£10 mill) but I do not think that is the answer to me problems. Also tried a fair few formations but none have any real consistency, I understand one will not work against all team but I'd like at least one that is relatively consistant to my team.
