Default Why wasn't Steve McLaren sacked when England didn't qualify for EURO 2008 in my game?

As of above

Because real fan's on FM do not make effigy's of you, especially when you get sent of at WC98 against Argentina for kicking Simeone, and effectively knocking us out of the tournament.

If however, the FA headquarters was hit by diapers launched from a trebuchet on FM, i'm sure the FA would be more inclined to sack him.

Basically what i wanted to say is there is no pressure on the FA. Not by the fans, nor by the media, or even the players. Basically it's a case of "Why should we sack him?"

exactly my question

in my game, stupid steve cant lead england to qualify for EURO, yes, they beat croatia 4-0 in the last game, but england lose to russia and israel b4 that, which make them lose out

i was furious, add a new manager to replace steve myself, then retire after 1 day,
and guess wat? FA hire steve back!!

therefore, SI shud put in a code, if big teams fail to qualify for EURO or WC, the manager must be sacked

exactly the same like in the past, when england, italy, spain or brazil, fail to win the WC, the head coach are sacked....
international management in FM is still crap

In my game, Hinzfeld becomes Germany coach in 2008 after Germany's failure in Euro2008. Nothing wrong since the manager was sacked after a poor campaign. Germany loses all 3 games in World Cup 2010 and Hinzfeld gets sacked. Spot on again. Then Thomas Schaaf gets appointed. Germany fails to reach Euro2012, but Schaaf gets to stay. This is indeed wierd and tbh, unacceptable because you get sacked for underperforming in big tournaments for germany, yet you get to stay after being unable to qualify??

thats why i am complaining :p

why managers are sacked if they perform bad in big tournaments, but they can still work if they cant qualify for it?

Really strange considering major nations usually sack their managers when if the reach the quarter finals of the major tournament itself...

There should be a handful managers who leave/are sacked when qualifying is over and they did not perform up to standard: Aside from England, so far both Estonia and Albania have changed their managers, and I would assume more are to follow.
