Default World Club Championship

I'm still playing 2007, because I love it and am worried 2008 might be pants.

Anyway I wondered if there is anyway to decide not to play in the World Club Championship? It is annoying.

You could just play your reserves and youth players if you dont want to use your first team players.

Do the champions league winners actually play in it in real life? I remember Man Utd played in it once, but I haven't heard anything about it since then. It seems a worthless competition to me.

it's still going, but the format has changed. when man utd were in it there was a group stage i believe now it's a straight kockout.

What!

Why would you want to do that?

You get £5m prize money for two matches against not-that-hard opposition.

If you have a reasonably large squad, then your second string should be able to do it, and it might even stop them complaining about not playing enough first team football.

I have never got £5m. For me it's £1.7m for winning and £1.2m for coming second.

They always play it and they usually lose, because South American teams because the Euro clubs always underestimate teams from other continents.

In 2005, São Paulo beat Liverpool in the final. In 2006, Internacional (also from Brazil) beat Barcelona in the final.

And the competition is not worthless, not more than the Champions League or Copa Libertadores are.
