Rep Power: 2 Supporting: Man Utd Footballers: Wayne Rooney, Ronaldo, Ryan Giggs | The Future of Man Utd Right fellow united fans, how about we look to the future and ask ourselves whats gonna happen to our dear club.
SAF wont be around forever, who do we see taking over our club. who can follow the legacy of the most successful british manager of all time. Certainly not Carlos Queiroz, non of SAF's previous number 2s have had any abilities once they leave OLD TRAFFORD, look at Brian Kidd, Steve McClown and the forementioned Mr Queirozs' disaster stint at Real Madrid that has most true united fans sniggering with "i told ya so" underbreath and head in hands when he came back with supposed intention of wanting to learn more and take over once the great one decides to hang up his hair dryer!!
Maybe Mark Hughes is up to it, im sure he will be the fans choice as is Roy Keane and they have both shown the desire in the past to want the job, lets face it what Hughes has done with Blackburn is remarkable and they both know what it means to be apart of united.
our youth set up need a good over hauling, who was the last true talent that came through the ranks. True we did get to Youth cup final and lost on pens, but they are mostley kids that were bought in as 14 year olds discovered by other clubs. United fans are looking for a new paul scholes, a young lad who was born within a stones throw of old trafford who played in the school yards of salford before becoming a great!! Beckham is a Londoner, giggs is a welshman we poached from City (sweet) the Nevilles are from bury which is Manchester of sort Nicky Butt is a Manc but wasn't happy to stay and fight for a place. United class of 95 did produce some greats. but since then we have failed to produce anyone that could really live up to that standard.
What about the Glaziers, are they in it for the long haul, will they sell us on the another money man if our commerical viability goes out the window. |
