Not Xbox, and here are a bagful of reasons:

- FM 2008 isn't even confirmed yet for the 360. SI's complete reluctance to say anything about the subject (see the FM 2008 Release Date (PC) topic) suggests there's a good chance they're trying to ditch it completely.

- FM 2007 was very poorly supported. It took nine months to produce a patch for a critical bug which destroyed game saves. There has been no data update, nor will there be. SI are vague but blame "technical issues", which strangely have not affected any other 360 developers to my knowledge.

- FM Xbox cannot be customised in the same way as the PC version. You're stuck with what's in the box. On the PC you can download new skins, facepacks, backgrounds etc.

- FM Xbox is twice the price of the PC version, but in no way does it offer twice the value. The Xbox version is kinda useful if you don't own a PC, but if you do then there's no reason to opt for the Xbox version.

It's a shame, because in theory the multiplayer infrastucture is a great idea (like being able to take the team from your career game, and play against a team from a friend's career game in a one-off match), and the Xbox's matchmaking system SHOULD make multiplayer games a doddle, but if you scour through the locked topics of this long-abandoned forum then you will see that it never took off because of major problems (particularly around having to tweak NAT settings, which again I've never had to do for any other 360 title).

RIP FM Xbox. Even if you rise from the grave, I shan't be giving you a second look.

I can agree and dissagree with things Tafkans said.

Overall I would say the PC version of '07 is better than the 360 version as it gets regular support (the bug/patch issue wasn't a great example of support either), has a much better interface and a much larger db.

The 360 version has speed on its side though, it processess days/games at a faster rate than any decent PC can, which is an impressive feat for a console.

The 360 version of FM '06 is great however, only a minor save bug nuiscance that can be avoided if you know how, and it's a virtually fault and bug-proof port of a PC classic.

Better speed and a 'legend' interface (the 'tab' UI of 360 '07 was one of the main irritations for me) that hasn't been beaten in console management games before or since IMO mean it still gets played by myself alot to this day. If you can tolerate the out-dated squads, I'd recommend picking '06 up on the cheap to see how great it was done originally.

So yup, for modding, patching, the future and interface, the PC version of '07 should be the one to get.
