The best guidance i've read on this site comes from wwfan, take a look in the tactics board for his theorems thread. I don't copy it but have used a few ideas that have helped me a lot.

i use boro on mine, and so fa for my first season is to play 4-5-1. thats just for the first season whilst you get your team sorted out (ie buy the players you want for the you want to play) and there on, its really a matter of what kind of players you got, i got mainly attacking players so i use that to the best i can. and so dar using that i have won 4 cups, uefa cup, super cup, league cup and fa cup. but make sure you change your tactics once 6m months i believe because teams get used to your play and you may start to lose games. i have just recently changed mine and its workin wonders, havin beat the geordies 4-0.

One part of boros play i would make sure you work on is the defence, get gareth southgate into your backroom staff as he is a great coach/assistant manager. also sayin that you need many coaches for training as this gets the players to gel better, my training schedules are 4 and 5 star ratings (mainly 5)and im doin pretty well with the players i have got.

if you need help im always glad to give it, but please message me on live gt: Big Jimmy G
