Default Am I the only one having these problems?!

Sorry to moan in my first post here but is anyone else having problems like this or am I doing something very wrong!? Never had the problem in last 6 years playing Champ/Footy Manager.

Players repeatedly being sent off for voilent conduct. In second season and have had countless players being sent off for headbutting, kicking, pushing and punching opposition players. The same is happens with the other team too for no reason.
And, playing as Norwich (sorry!), things like Earnshaw and Drury headbutting people is a bit unbelievable.

Injuries to players in just one position at the same time. McVeigh gets 6 game ban for, would you believe it, violent conduct then within the space of a week all of my other players capable of playing right wing either get banned or injured. Get over that and all central midfielders get injured.
Get promoted and my team suffer 4 major injuries (spinal, knee ligaments etc.) to key players a couple of weeks into the season!

And with transfers, Arsenal have just moved into the Emirates and have to pay that off somehow so how the hell did they manage to pay £45m for Fernando Torres! Whereas I'm stuck with a budget of £1.7m to try and keep the team up with.

Been playing the game on a Mac (at work, on the quiet) up until now so didn't know what to expect from the console version.

PS. what are the chances of a patch download arriving to improve things a bit if others are getting the same?

Only had one player sent off for violent conduct, fining him a weeks wages seem to sort him out.

Had a few problems with injuries though, 3 midfielders all got injured doing weight training within about a week. They were all on the same training programme but the 'strength' setting was below the middle and the overall intensity of the training below the line so I don't know what that was about.

Well i would say there is ways of stopping players playing so aggresive in player instructions and also as matty said fining them which shows discipline.
I have also had like 4 of my 5 strikers injured at the one time but since then nothing as much as that has happened. I think it makes the game more interesting though as it forces u into decsions.

Cheers but tried all those in settings, has nothing to do with tackling/playing settings. They just keep turning around and lumping the other players! Tried disciplining players with 1/2 week fines for headbutting and punching and they just think that its unfair.

Just started a new game to see if that changes anything and in the first game of pre-season with everything on default settings Safri got sent off for pushing a player over. So its nowt to do with me!

It's your tatctics - are you finding that you aren't winning games you should be? Are your strikers failing to score? How is the player's morale?

If they are suffering from frustration then they are more likely to lash out against the opposition especially if they have a high aggression stat. You can dicipline them to show them who is boss but you need to change things with your team as a whole.

You are correct in saying that setting tackling won't change anything - easy and hard only relates to the liklihood of winning the ball not whether they mash the opponent or go in lightly.

Good luck

Won Championship at first attempt and finished 12th in Prem with Norwich in first season up! The punches/headbutts/kicks happen at any time in the game, even two up at Arsenal (although they'd had 20+ shots). Its not just my players though, eg. lost 3-0 at Old Trafford, McVeigh and Doherty off as well as Rooney (he scored first goal and then elbowed someone straight after restart!) and Vidic all for elbows or kicks. Nothing to indicate the my player is frustrated in profiles and morale is good to superb. Most players state that they are proud of how well the club is doing in the league.

And as I said earlier, I have disciplined several players for voilent conduct and the resulting straight red with a week/2 week fine and they state that they feel it was unfair in news!

Given up on that game now anyway and started again and so far 6 League games in and only one sending off for pushing in a pre-season! Think something a bit wierd happened in the previous game.

Cheers.

Yep that does sound very strange then. If the same were to happen to me in your position I'd start again too though this would be rather frustrating...

I have the same problem, doesn't matter what tactics I use or player/team instructions.

At one point I had 6 players banned

Sorry to say it but starting again is probably the best bet. I've not had the same problem again YET! Annoying but at least we're not doing anything wrong its just the game being a bit overly mean at times.

In fact i'm glad I did restart in a round about way, Ryan 'can't score, won't score' Jarvis has hit 11 in 8 starts inc. a hat trick!
