The Analyst

I've played the game for a while and can't help noticing that there are several weird penalty takers:

Puyol for Barca
A Faye for Newcastle
Ashley Cole for Chelsea

etc etc etc.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Yeah is very strange. But meh, its a game, its not perfect.

Surely the players with top pen taking stats should be the ones taking spot kicks, but yeah it is only a game.

It seems like the AI doesn't pick penalty takers sometimes. I've seen defenders take penalties a lot.

Had to say for me, I think my team only gave up 1 penalty the whole season. Won like 12 penalties though.

I don't have the game running, but do those players by any chance have high Composure attributes, and to a lesser extent Decisions?

I've seen posts claiming that composure is just as, if not more, important than "Penalty Taking".

Puyol is Barca captain, and a perfectly reasonable penalty taker. Well if Dinho isnt on the pitch!

If it's not set, then it's volunteer; defenders want that goal bonus too!

What are their Composure attributes? I think this attribute should be relevant too.
