Lost that passion?
Well, after some due consideration, I decided to abandon my most recent FM08 save. Simply put, it was taking too long to process, and reading threads like Craig's where he averages a season a day just made me feel disenchanted - and a little jealous.
Obviously, I wanted to get straight back into it, but I seem to have an affliction that even Frank can't resolve. I find it incredibly hard to get excited about the prospect of managing any team, no matter where in the world, or what gimmick the club has in store. Probably through burnout, I have completely lost the passion. I've considered maybe managing my home club Melbourne Victory to help fuel the fires, or maybe changing it up and managing in the MLS like I've always wanted, but the strength and structure of those leagues make managing there a little hollow.
By no means am I asking for someone to recommend a club to challenge me - I'm a slightly more seasoned LLaMa and forumite than that - but I am asking if anyone has had the same problem, and how they overcame it. Do I need a visit to the local pitch to rekindle the love affair? Maybe a little time in the wilderness that is real life?
Distraught of East Melbourne.
