Default Books About British Football

Well, so far, I have read the following:

Seeing Red, Graham Poll
Among the Thugs, Bill Buford
Everywhere We Go, the Brimson Brothers
Congratulations! You have just met the I.C.F., Cass Pennant.

Thugs was the most entertaining, Poll's book the most informative, but the last 3 chapters of Pennant's book were worth the read.

Anyway, I am looking for some other suggestions. I know there is a theme here, but it need not be about Hools or referees. A real good football book would do.

Rothmans.

Slightly repetitive I must concede however.

Why have you not read Pete Davies' All Played Out yet? Garry Nelson's Left Foot Forward and Left Foot in the Grave are both well written.

sorry, I was joking, Rothmans publish ( or at least did ) annuals of every season, so basically just filled with stats of clubs and that's it.
