Default Staying in Newcastle

Hey Guys,
Can anyone recommend anywhere reasonably priced to stay in Newcastle-upon-tyne, everywhere seems a bit pricey that i've found!
Cheers,
Sam

Depends how close to the town centre you want to be.
There's the guest houses on Whitley Bay sea front...
And how long do you intend to stay?

Travelodge is as good a place as any. Also, a couple of my mate's stayed at a place called The Jury's Inn, which is beside Central Station. Think it was about £50-60 a night for a double room.

I'm staying for just 1 night, going up for the Newcastle vs Birmingham game but travelling from Yeovil means I can't get up there and back the same day!

Cheers for the suggestions!

premier travel inn on newbridge street west i think its called, about 5-10 min walk from the bars and more or less in the city centre.

jurys inn/holiday inn, just about 5 min walk from the gate/st james park, we stayed there for the last weekend we were over.

Yeah the travel inn is probably the best place, but you'll need to book early.

This is the main issue, the game is on the 8th December and I have left it extremely late to sort something out!!
