Michael Foster is on a distinguished road
Default *Spinoff* 3 years from today, who would be in YOUR England Squad

This started in the Mclaren sacked thread but maybe better in its own.

Wont be in squad?

James (40)
Beckham (35)
G.Neville (35)
P.Neville (33)
Campbell (36)

Probably will be

Lampard (32)
Crouch (29)
Defoe (28)
Bent (26)
Owen (30)
Rooney (25)
Gerrard (30)
Smith (30)
Hargreaves (29)
SWP (29)
Barry (29)
Bentley (26)
J.Cole (29)
Downing (26)
Young (25)
Shorey (29)
Richards (22)
Lescott (28)
Brown (31)
Bridge (30)
Cole (29)
Robinson (31)
Carson (25)
Foster (27)
Terry (29)

Plus if you add the younger players in like Walcott, S.Taylor, Milner, Huddlestone, Agbonlahor etc

Who would your starting XI?

To be honest I dont think much will have changed, a fair few of the England team are only in mid 20's and have a lot of playing time ahead of them.

I would like to see Foster in goal, think he has the most potential out of the younger English goalkeepers. Richards and Cashley as full backs with Rio & JT still at the back.

In midfield it is a little tougher, Lampard, Gerrard and J. Cole along with Theo/Young/SWP on the right. Owen and Rooney up top.

Gabby up front, Nigel R-C in the middle, Young on the left, Cahill in defence, Carson in goal. Awesome!

I can't honestly believe, that after the last 3-4 years of crap performances, anyone would put Lampard and Gerrard in the same team still. IT DOESN'T WORK!

I think the partnership has potential to work just dont think its been done right by the two previous England managers. I would much rather have Gerrard just sit and be the DMC with his work rate and tackling and long range passing ability and let Lampard roam forward, if done right this would be fantastic although all the "Fat" Frank haters im sure will prob jump on this opinion because of course hes sh!te \o/.

the idea that gerrard would sit back and be a proper DMC is more laughable than Frank being good.

I'd like to see a big change.

GK - Foster

DR - Richards
DL - Baines
DC - Terry
DC - Taylor

MR - Milner
ML - Young
MC - Huddlestone
MC - Gerrard

FC - Rooney
FC - Walcott

Players on bench like...Gabby, Lennon, Reo-Coker, Mattock, Hart, Downing, Bent, Cole

He has the ability to do it, if he has the patience to sit back is another question. I think if done right it would be a pretty good CM pairing.

But as long as Frank comes back to Chelsea and bangs in 20+ goals and 20+assists a season I wont complain.
