 Increasing Morale/Player Ratings "Dampening"
Before anyone goes crazy I realise these are not "bugs" as such, but I was unsure where to post them - and considering there about a billion threads in this forum in the general section thought this was maybe the best place to get some advice - these are also suggestions for the next patch (not sure if they will be condiered):
I never played FM 06/07 - the last version I played was FM 05/06.......I am having big problems with the morale of some of my players....it seems a lot harder now to increase it above "average/good" - I have quite a few players whose morale is constantly poor...and no matter what I do, I cannot get it to go up.
Some of these players get a game every week, I praise them after a game in team talk when they play well...i am lenient when they sometimes dont do so well....if they are playing really bad I tell them I have faith....and obviously at times tell them I expect a performance....if there form is good I say so in the media....if it is bad I say they are under par...(And I dont overdo the team talks/praise - this has been over an 18 month period) yet their morale is still really low poor/very poor....and my team is playing reasonably well - other players have good/veryu good etc morale - is this a bug or are there any suggestions on how I can improve this?
Some of them are ridiculous - I have Lee Miller in my Aberdeen team....now in fairness he has gone 23 games without a goal (not all full starts - i had to drop him!), but his morale has never been higher than poor for the last 5 months and I have tried a few thiings...there must be some way to improve this??
Also player ratings at the end of a match. I understand SI wanting to tone these down, but do you not think they have been "over" toned down a bit? I am playing the english and Scottish leagues and to be honest about 70/80% of the players rating all seem just as good as each other - the likes of the Gerrards/Lampards etc all average around 7.2 and are much in league with some other average players.....can we not release the dampening on this for the next version and tweak them up just a touch? A lot of people obviously look at player stats for their next signings, but I also pay a lot of attention to high performers with good average ratings.....but not it is practically impossible to tell Gerrard apart form Fabrice Muamba! Surely the bigger name players should have slightly better ratings....
