Would this work?

I'm thinking of creating a new database but Im not sure if it would work properly.

My idea is to have a new league of the all the best players from each league. For example Premiership Select vs Serie A Select.

I would have 8 teams:

Premiership
Serie A
La Liga
Ligue 1
Bundesliga
SPL
Erevidise
Rest of World Select

Do you think it would work better if I chose the best players from each league and made new clubs? or if i created new nations and made each player come from that country? e.g an SPL country, and make every player in the SPL come from this new country

Wouldn't it be easier to sort the top teams by reputation and put them into the leagues that way?
