Really? So does that mean that any international team could compete in the Copa as the invitational team? On that note, obviously it rotates every time the Copa is played, however what would happen if say Italy are invited and they win? Would they automatically be invited again next time to defend their crown? If they are, will another team get invited?

It is a bug and it is fixed by the last patch.

The only time a team from outside the Americas was invited was Japan in 1999, but it's already been decided that it won't happen again.

Yep any team can compete. Although only one team outside of the americas has been invited and that was Japan.

And who knows if the team that wins it get to defend their title as no invitational team has ever won it although Mexico lost in a final once iirc

Mexico lost in the final twice (1993 and 2001).

Ah cheers PMFL.

Also when you said "its already been decided that it won't happen again" does that mean that there will be no more invitations from outside of South America or does that exclude the likes of Mexico and the USA and the other North American teams?

I think he means there won't be any more invitations outside of the Americas s North American teams and the likes will still continue to get invites.
