Default Tactics - CM01/02 and FMH08

The tactic system also resembles the one used in CM01/02. I have found a few great tactics in CM01/02 and have implemented those into FMH08 but none of them work. If the match engines are similar then shouldn't I have similar results between the two games? Please can I get your official response Marc? Thanks for your time.
