Surely it's now only a matter of time before Beckham is involved in the ultimate star-studdied Hollywood XI, I dunno, for some movie or charity event or summat. Any ideas? Here's a few for starters:

GK - Sly Stallone: Unconvincing in Escape to Victory, but he can still punch.

SW - Mel Gibson: Would orchestrate the offside trap well, as he did during Braveheart's fight scenes: "Hold.... hold.... HOLD." Although liable to be sent off for anti-semitic comments.

RM - David Beckham: Captain, set-piece taker, heart-throb, doting father, devoted husband, albeit can't tackle or head for toffee.

CM - Arnold Schwarzenegger: "I want your boots, your shirt and your motorcycle. I mean, shinpads." Would win most 50-50s, armed or not.
