 Players as Referees
Merry Christmas to all,
As we all know, players take up roles such as managers and coaches at the end of their playing careers. However, has anybody ever seen a player becoming a referee?
Surely, the referees age and retire, so need to be replaced; is this done by retiring players? I know some player have the intention of looking into some of the more obscure roles in football after resigning - is refereeing one of them?
