Rep Power: 0 | Discussion:Instruction for C-Ronald&Rooney
I'm a fan of MU.I'd always wanted to find out the best instruction for the 2R.
As in the real world,C-Ron often runs ball down the blanks. As a result, his pass completed is only less than Scholes's.So I set him as the playmaker, with high creative freedom, high attacking mentality.
However,he sometimes makes a foolish mistake, and the tempo gets slow.I think it's a matter of his low decision making attribute.
And about Rooney.I think what I've successed is set him as the TargetMan,To feet,Rarely forward runs,Always run with ball, holds up ball.
I think it's because the DC is with slow pace, less agility,so Wayne can comes deep to get ball, easily run over more than 4 men in a match.
What's ur instruction for the 2R?
THX

by setting ronaldo as playmaker it means that his team mates will look to pass to him, so he can set up the attack. the problem here is that cuz he playing on the wing, the other winger (park or giggs etc) wont get as much of the ball etc. im not sure if its a good idea setting ronaldo as a playmaker. i think a central player like scholes would be better off with the role

yeah i agree with cheesegrilled...put scholes or carrick as a playmaker but scholes would do a much better job.jus make sure that your other midfielder is covering him incase he messes up.

13 goals in 17 games, Ronaldo. Put him at max C.F, free role, not playmaker, forward runs mixed, run with ball often, the rest all rarely. Make sure his playing mentality is not too high (17 does it). Rooney on the other hand is screwing up for me. Anyone can give advice?

Rooney has a hidden 'free role' rating of 20, set him to free role, and basic striker instructions, but increase cross, through balls and long shot to mixed, he gets at least 30 a season for me

Thanks for suggesting.
My instruction for rooney is successful. He scored 35 Goals in the first season and 40 in the second. What inspires me is that when Klose ruled out for 2 Months, rooney scored 16 goals in 12 matches. what a shock!
here's the instruction:
rarely fw run.
always run with ball.
targetman,to feet.
and of course , free role.

Long shots: Mixed
Cross ball: Often
Run with ball: Often
Forward runs: Mixed
Free Role: Yes Rooney(FC)
Long shots: Often
Cross ball: Mixed
Run with ball: Often
Forward runs: Mixed
Free Role: Yes
This assumes that you play a short passing game, very wide with a quick tempo and high creative freedom.
