Okay, I don't know if this is a coincidence or something.

I used to have all the same bugs like what most of you guys are experiencing. Shots-to-goals-ratio, unbelievable one-on-one misses, closing down bug etc.

Then one day, I bought Fifa Manager 2008. Since my laptop was running out of space, I removed Football Manager 2008 from my PC.

However, after realising that Fifa Manager 2008 was ****, I installed Football Manager 2008 again.

I didn't have to install the 8.0.1 patch again after I installed (I don't know why either). And now, my game is free of all those bugs!

Shots-to-goals ratio bug fixed. Closing-down bug fixed. One-on-one-misses bug fixed. Everything is just running perfectly fine!

So I suggest the ones who are on the brink of giving up, just uninstalling your game and reinstall, the patch should still be there.

Try and have a go. Just a personal experience, don't blame me if it doesn't work for you

On the new save Ive started I dont seem to be getting these bugs much at all, well enjoying the game now.

the bugs only come in your very-very important match. Someday you will not believe in your eyes when losing 0-1 with over 20 shot on targets, and it just cost you the title or a cup.

it's classy & happened to me until I reload the game. somebody told me "don't let the bug win".

I tried this - didn't go too well. I now can't load the savegame I was playing.
