More Congratulations messages..... Really..... Whoever played CM99/00 and then played CM01/02 knows what big of difference to the whole enjoyment of the game was made by something as simple as adding a text message that said fans were singing your name because you won a title.

Now congratulations messages should not be only for winning a title,

European Qualification should be made a big deal of... There must be celebration messages if you manage to take a team to qualify for UEFA or the Champions League for the first time. The same thign goes for World Cup or Euro Cup Qualifications for nations that has never qualified.

Likewise there must be congratulation messages for reaching a phase in a cup the team has never reached before

There must also be some type message regarding your final position on the league right now you only hear from the board or the fans if you win (other than seeing a bar in the the confidence screen) "Real Madrid fans are extremely disspointed with finishing La liga in the 5th position which means they would not play the Champions league for the first time in 10 years" "Valencia Fans are brokenhearted to have lost the league just one point Barcelona after having coming so close to win it"... Tell me stuff liek this wont make a huge difference to your enjoyment.

I can think of other, more pertinent issues that could improve the game, starting with diminishing the number of bugs. New match engine. New media module. New finance. The list is endless. Redo everything but the database itself. Now there's an idea!

i agree and think this is an excellent idea-and not one that would be very hard to implement.

A new match engine, finance, reduction of bugs would be nice too but this would be easy to do (and therefore it would be more likely si would actually do it)

It would also be cool to see if you're winning the commentary:

The fans are chanting the [club name] manager's name (when you are about to secure a promotion with a dead beat club)

There are some good ideas in here and futher evidence that what alot of fans want is not a refined(and hugely bugged) match engine.

Keep the same match engine after updates from one incarnation to the next and actually concentrate on producing more of a footballing RPG.

That would be my dream for future FM's.

nothing beats the fans singing your name
