So, anyone enjoying the game (in spite of any issues) is an unemployed bum with inadequate levels of literacy?

I started by asking politely what I was doing wrong, only to be told to check stats, tweak every minute little detail and download alsorts of training schedules and tactics that probably only work with ManUre. It seems to me that *some* on these forums have way too much time on their hands if they take their own advice. And there is nothing more infuriating than text speak. I work with kids in my job. On the whole, they are illiterate.

im sunderland havent done much iv tweaked my tactics brought in a few gud players.
i finished 16th my 1st season and then 5th in my next and im in a clan btw. so jus stick wiv wot u got it shud work eventually.

The first post you made about this made the implication that anyone who does well on the game spends their whole time playing it.

Come back when you have less of an attitude. You say you work with children but you sound like a whining little child yourself. I think it is you who needs to grow up.

You don't need to tweak every little detail to do well on the game. I haven't changed my tactics for 10 seasons and have no problems at all. I have a life thank you very much, and I have managed 10 seasons by playing a few hours each week since the game was released. Hardly taking up all of my free time.

Think I'll keep my own council on where I go and how long I stay thanks. I am frustrated by the game. I expected to lose to MK Dons and have a tough season ahead of me as the Stags, as they are in real life. But they don't have just three points and a goal difference of -37.

The game's a joke. Not unlike you.

The one thing I have noticed is that the keeper isn't listed on the Mansfield website so I think it's only fair that I ask, is he a goalkeeper?

I only ask because I've had an outfield player in goal before during some serious DMing.

For the record I think FM08 is horribly flawed and is the poorest version for a long time. However it doesn't detract from your idiotic assumptions that people who are good at the game have no life. It only takes a minute or so to change tactics if you want to, but you don't even need to do that to be sucessfull at the game.

In the other thread you asked for advice, you were given some, then you decided to ignore it all and just complain about the game. Just go download some tactic from the tactics forum which some nice chap with no life made, then you wont have to spent years messing with them.
