Default Installing FM2008 on Windows XP Professional x64

My copy of FM2008 came as a Christmas present, but it won't install on my x64 system, anybody got it to install on an x64 yet?

[During my installation, just after the install shield, it quit saying something about the configuration of my PC. Do you have Windows XP x64, i.e. the 64 bit version? How did you install FM2008?

Have you downloaded and reinstalled Java?

I have it working on Windows XP 64 bit fine.

I have checked that I have the latest version of Java for my PC, so this is not the problem.

Do you run apps that require > 4gb of ram then?
Because, if not, whats the point of running Windows 64?

Apart from intentionally making it harder to get your hardware peripherals to work properly and always having issues installing an upgrading popular software ..
