Back in FM06 I was playing as R.Madrid & needed a ML so I bought vincente for apx 60M GBP. apx. at the same time my scout turned my attention to Dede who was finishing a contract & was available for free so I got him as a replacement.
After giving some decent performances in the first two months (7&8s) vincente got injured for 3 weeks & Dede was so good I actually changed my formation to 5-3-2 (attacking WB & AM) to keep him in the team. Too bad about the 60M...

I think that most people immediately think of some star that they signed. However, I think of the biggest signings as also my shrewdest signings over the years where I have been able to find young talent for either free or very cheap. As an example in my current game as Benidorm, I signed a young Spanish striker named Alex Fernandez for free who was 19 at the beginning of my game and in my second season he has just turned 21. His first season with me he scored 29 goals and in 31 games this year he has scored 24 goals. This has been a huge signing for my club and a big part of my success.

In my current game with Leicester my biggest signing has been Neil Danns from Brum for £65,000! lol. My biggest signing was actually Steven Hammill for Leeds (£1.2m) haha. Aint quite played long enough to hit the big time yet

Not very realistic ..

His career has effectively been over since Madrid.

Apart from the fact he has no pace whatsoever anymore - something S.I. researchers seem to ignore compeletly - has a major impact on his effectiveness.

That and the fact he can't go more than three games without tearing something serious.

I got Lionel Messi for £44m for my Roma team, that was his minimum fee release so I thought it was a bit of a bargain

Silva for £61m. Dont regret it one bit as he is an assist machine.
