This is really annoying me at the moment. I want to sign a non EU player who does not have enough caps for a work permit. However he is currently playing in france and is eligle for citizenship. Does anyone know why he hasn't got second nationality of French? Because if he did I could sign him and I would be a happy chappy!!!

Because he doesn't want a french citizenship.

He has the option but at that time he probably doesn't feel the need to take the citizenship as he does not need it. Try signing him and he may take it up.

Although not a major problem I would like to see this changed slightly for future games where the player recognises that he can take the citizenship when you are at the contract stage.

Tried to sign him to see if he will take up citizenship......the git doesn't want to sign for me.....typical

i agree and i think it will be tweaked i would like the option to consider taking the citizenship like you can ask a player to reconsider retirement or something along those lines.

Basically what I was getting at. :thup:
