Default Spanish Registration Bug

OK, first of all, I am a noob in FM. FM 08 is the first game I've played from the series. With this in mind please take the following question seriously:

What is the Spanish Registration Bug?

There is a job available in the Spanish second division that I am interested in. However, before I decide to apply, I must know what this infamous bug does to the game, and just how unplayable the Spanish leagues are because of it.

Thank you in advance

registration bug is that your b and c team don't seem to register there players during the registration window. Generally, you pick the 25/22 players during the window and select submit, and it shows them as all registered right up to the moment when the window closes, where you now have 0 registered players again.

Some people have suggested work arounds but none succeeded for me.

It really depends how you like to play as to how 'unplayable' the game is; you still get a full first team squad of 25 registered players and youth players (on youth contract i think) can still play unregistered. The main problem is that you can't have a string of reserves who play in the lower leagues with your B/C team and cup up to the As every now and then. This can have a huge impact of people who like to have a string of young players who they like to see develop at the club and then bring into the first team squad over time.

The spanish league was probably the best place for this as your B team plays in the actual spanish lower divisions (and can be promoted/relegated) as well as your Cs/U19s. This has been nullified because you can't register anyone, so the Bs will invariably get relegated out of all the playable leagues, never to be promoted again. Thus any young prospect/back up player who doesn't fit into your top 25 has to be loaned out or sold, otherwise they just waste away for a year.

Can be very frustrating (especially for players like me who love the spanish league, particularly for the strong b teams). But not unplayable

The only thing i want to know is how did a bug like this slip through and since it must be fairly easy to solve without those 'follow-on' effects like match engine fixes, then why can't it be addressed with another patch? why do we have to wait till february and the data update?

You could say that about any bug that only affects a specific league. The weather bug in Finland went unfixed for a game and a half, for instance.

That bug actually also affected my partner and I in our La Liga game when the game deregistered his Sevilla 1st team

I am also amazed that SI have not sorted this earlier and generally disappointed at the number of bugs that affect this game (more than I can remember for any previous incarnation and I have been playing since 98)

I usually take bugs with a pinch of salt but this does actually dissapoint me as I also like to move to Spain at some point during my career.
