What gavnoble said. But just a quickie, you'll need to extract the file, it's usually a .rar file so you'll need WinAce or WinRar to extract it (Google them, they are free). Then place the folder (with the pictures and the config file) in the following directory:

MyDocs/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/Graphics

If there isn't a graphics folder, create one. You can organise your folders in there however you like. I divide mine by logos, kits, players, etc.
