Default Tactics that last the distance

It seems to me that there are alot of tactics listed on this forum that people have success with but it is for a limited time.

In my opinion there are alot of tactics out there that get results for 5 - 10 - 15 games or 2 or 3 months but I have failed to come across a tactic that "lasts the distance" of a season without being combated by the AI. We all want to win league titles but this seems to be difficult to achieve without a consistent tactic.

What I am proposing here is a discussion on tactics that produce the goods for the whole season (screenshots to back your claims up if possible). Alternatively you can list 2 or 3 tactics that you use throughout the season and discuss what changes you make when and why you make them.

Hoping to hear some success stories, especially mangers who have had sustained success over a number of seasons with a tactic or tactics.

Cheers

I use Movement from fmbritains pelle mandorff.
It's been great for me.

Derby County
2007/8 season 4th in EPL, semi in FA Cup
2008/9 League winners, Champions League quaters, FA cup winners.

Not bad with such a poor team.
