 Saints fall at the last - well 2nd to last!
A brief recap of St Albans to date:
Season 1 -
Board wanted me to invest in new players despite giving me no money at all! They got a mid table finish of 13th.

Season 2 -
Again board were after a mid table finish. After leading for most of the season we had a spectacular collapse in form and just scraped 6th. We lost the Play-Off South Final on penalties.

Season 3 -
Board once again showing a lack of ambition and are looking for the mid table finsih. After selling last seasons best player for a substantial amount of money, I looked to improve my squad by adding what my scout described as quality players in each of defence, midfield and attack. The season started poorly with injuries to key players, my hopes of automatic promotion faded almost immediately. The season took a dramatic turn with the reintroduction of said key players. The Saints marched up the table and narrowly missed out on the top spot to Bath. So once again the Play-Offs called. I again made it to the South Final to face Aylesbury. We raced to a 2 goal lead and all was well, then the wheels well and truly fell off! I was pegged back to 2 all with a goal in the 88th minute, the language was colourful but not as blue as when my 30 goal stiker missed a 91st minute penalty!! So after a non eventful extra time the match was to be decided by our favourite - penalties. After dreadfully missing all my penalties (all going MILES wide) we lost 2-0. Another year, another failure! Still Season 4 is approaching and I must again strengthen my team for another assault on the league.
