Default WHITE SCREEN PROBLEM ON VISTA

Despite following the instructions aforementioned I am still unable to play the game on my new laptop, acer aspire 5715Z. I have tried everything possible, including downloading the demo and trying to transfer the graphics.fmf file, downloading the latest java update and graphics drivers, you name it. Is it a case that some vista users will simply not be able to run the game until the new updates come out later in the year. I am seriously considering reverting back to XP. Please help!

I'm currently on VISTA and I'm not having any problems with it. Did you patch it yet?

Could be clutching at straws here but have you tried to run the game as administrator?

I'm amazed how many problems this solves when trying to get games to work.

Guys - if you look at the top of the forum, there is a post called "Having problems with Football Manager 08? Before you post, please read" or something along those lines.

In there, there are 3 potential solutions for this issue.
