Rep Power: 0 | Am I playing against Utd every game?
This version of the game is doing my head in!!!!
Why is it every ******* game the opposition score in the last 10 minutes? Not only is this ridicolously unrealistic, its ******* annoying.
Every tactic against every team fails to work. I looked through every result in the EPL in one of my games and 8/10 teams scored in 80 Min+.
Im sorry SI ive worshipped football manager before, but this version is awful. Il be sure to go back to good old 2007 and spend hours updating the editor myself!

to be fair, if you look at the games in the premiership (real life) i think 80% of the games have a goal in the last 10 mins due to players being tired ect.

| Yep. You'd be amazed the amount of late goals derby, fulham and sunderland have been involved in this season. I remember back in 2002 season when arsenal won the double, they were renowned for winning games in the last 10 minutes. It's just more noticable when you concede late on, but it tends to slip the mind when you score late |

| Before I post this I am not doubting the accuracy of this statement or whether it happened to you or not. I am just offering some statistics to suggest this may have just been a coincidence or a one off.
Here’s some statistics from my game:-
Last 123 matches in EPL
Total Goals: 333
Goals scored in 70 to 80 minute: 31 (9.3%)
Goals scored in 80 minute+: 43 (12.9%)
Within those statistics there was one particular matchday that was way outside those averages:-
33 goals total
70 to 80 minute: 4 (12.1%)
80 minute+: 8 (24.2%)
The averages don’t seem unreasonable to me but I don’t have real life figures to compare it to (maybe a statto reading this will enlighten me), and it is only one save game which is hardly a comprehensive statistic analysis. It could be my stats are a coincidence and your experience is the norm. If this is the case then I wouldn’t disagree that there might be a problem.
As for going back to 2007 I doubt that will be the answer to your problem as I had that same issue of teams scoring in the last 10 minutes on that version until I read a few threads in the Tactics forum. Unfortunately on that version and this version keeping the same tactics that had you 1-0 up and dominating before the 80th minute is asking for trouble. Whether that’s realistic or not is debatable.
I won’t deny I do experience the way if I am chasing the game in the last 10 minutes the clock just evaporates with no highlights but if the AI is in the same scenario my goal gets battered. But I have managed to reduce the frequency at which this happens by going ultra negative regardless of the quality of the opposition. Whether that’s realistic or not again is debatable.
And before you ask yes I am a sad git going through statistics at 3 o’clock on a Friday night/Saturday morning. My excuse is I’m broke after Christmas and I’m sticking to it |

Apparently most clubs score 15-20% of their goals in the final 10 minutes. Both at home AND away.
So no, you're not playing United every game. You're playing Arsenal, Aston Villa, Bolton, Everton, Fulham, Liverpool, Man Utd, Newcastle, Portsmouth, Sunderland, and West Ham, because those are the teams who score more than 15% of their goals in the final 10 minutes.

Everton score 22% of their goals in the final 10 minutes, and CONCEDE 20% in the final 10. You want exciting matches, watch the Toffees!
