Default Cunning tricks- the cheeky use of taking players on trial...

Okay so i'm Everton and I have a lot of promising youngsters who i want to gain valuable experience on loan.

I sent my promising keeper Kenny Smith to my feeder club Leicester (noone else came in for him on loan) but I discovered after a month that he was getting zero games. The clubs main keeper, David Marshall was deeply unhappy and wanted to leave the club so I offered him a months trial. He accepted and it left the GK spot open for my youngster who has subsequently won young player of the month for a string of great performances. I'm thinking of repeating this cheeky trick when his trial runs out to ensure his development is furthered by 1st team duties.

Anyone else got any cunning tricks up their sleeves?

i havent actually got to the stage where i can see what happens when i sell a player resulting from this yet, but i used to future fee to great effect in the latest game im running with Derby. i signed a whole squad full of players using the £0 + £40m after 50 league apps fee.

i plan on getting rid of them all once they've played 39 games and then see what happens with the transfer fees, in theory though hopefully the club i signed them from wont receive a penny and with the cash i can buy some players without having to resort to such tactics. worst case scenario though the former club are somehow entitled to the cash i earn off them.

sure seems a nice way to vastly improve my squad without spending a penny though.

when playing agiainst a team, on the day before, make a 100mill offer for their best striker and i gaurentee he wont score against you, this works soo much better than saying he is a danger blaah bkah

I actually did this once in my game. I put in a bid of £0 plus £40K after 20 matches (a lot of money for South African First Division!).

Then i totally forgot about the clause, until i was just browsing through my Finance -> Transfers screen, and i read that his £40K was coming up in 4 more matches!

Needless to say, he sat out the second half of the season

nice, lucky u found out in time then

i may actually scale this up and see what sort of players i can attract with an even better team, i can see it as an easy way of clearing man uniteds debt anyway.

As Leeds in my first season, I noticed that my reserves weren't registered for a league so in order to keep them going and to make a few quid, I got them playing twice a week at home against Spanish and German B/reserve sides. A cool 70k income a game helped quite nicely
