Rep Power: 0 | Your best 11 Simply post your best 11 in in Soccer/Football/Futball Manager.
One rule: The players have to all come from one version of the game. You can have seperate 11's for different versions. (06,07,08)
Your best 11 can also include no nessecarily your best players but the ones who helped you the most. For example lets say brought a team up from league 1 to the premiership. Obviously the strikers you have in league 1 wont be as good as the strikers you have in the premiership, but they have have contributed much more.
Include what team(s) they played on for you.
My best 11, FM 2008
Goal: Doyle from birmingham. Ended up wanting to leave despite winning the carling cup and being in the uefa but stil a great goalie.
Right Back: Kelly (birmingham), very consistent went through a bit of bad spell in the third season but still a very good player.
Center Backs: Johan Djoujou (Bir) Ended up extending his loan from the gooners for an extra year. Great player./Sol Campell (Bir) Judas ended up asking to leave after only one season. But he was a crucial players during my first season up.
Left Back: C Barker (QPR) Was planning to sell him right away, but when i couldn't buy a good replacement decided to keep him. Has been very reliable.
Central Mid: Muamba (birmignham) star in my league sold him for over 40 million after he wanted to leave. My board automatically accepted it./ K. St Aimee (QPR)
Left Mid:Ross McCormack, great in the Championship very young.(QPR)
Right Mid:
Strikers: Ivan Alonso/ Defoe Both birmingham- Alonso might have been the sole reason for me staying up my first season (scored 30 league goals). Defoe was very good as well.
Bench: Lee Camp (QPR), Fae (Bir), Rowland (QPR), Blackstock (QPR), Arca (Bir) |

Rep Power: 39 | All my best elevens would comprise of regens, so the version should not matter, surely? However, I don't even think i could name abest eleven, some saves i had throughout the games lasted 30+ seasons. Even to pick a best 30 would be tough. |

Goal: Shay Given. (Newcastle) Obviously very solid, but while defensive reinforcements were en route he had to save Newcastle time and time again until January and arguable until the end of the first season.
Right Back: Kaufman, Ipswich. Bargain price, and despite numerous attempts at signing someone better to replace him I could never finance the top class replacement and he stayed for 3 years going on 4.
Center Backs: Marius Constantin, Ipswich then Newcastle. Solid and most importantly for my over the top attacking formation, he was pacey enough to recover for the most part. Blemished his rep slightly by requesting a transfer with Ipswich. I bought him again with Newcastle in a different game where he was a capable backup.
Alex Bruce, Ipswich. Not the best statistically, but his performances were always top notch. I also have a soft spot for him after he scored a 94th minute winner at Old Trafford with the scrappiest tap in ever.
Left Back: Antonio Lopez, Newcastle. After playing the demo as At. Madrid I found that he had a semi-reasonable release fee, around 13mil if memory serves, and when I picked up the full game and kicked off with my Newcastle game he was exactly what I needed to sort Newcastle's troubled left back position. Selling Jose Enrique to Barca for 21 million to cover his price tag and them some was nice too.
Central Mid: Pierre Ducase, Ipswich. For a low level Premiership club this guy was imense at DM as a deep lying playmaker and was not shy about tackling either. In my Newcastle game when I looked him up he was not so great so I'm guessing at variable PA.
Owen Garvan, Ipswich. Not as good as Banega, Lulinha, Jiayi or even the regen I got from Greece, but I liked him and he popped up with memorable goals, not least the screamer that secured automatic promotion in 2nd place.
Left Mid: Nicolae Mitea, Ipswich. Instant fan favourite with a hattrick against Norwich in the cup in second season. Signed for 4.5 Million and left for 15.5 a year later after Lazio came for him. 17 goals from the wing is nothing to sniff at for a newly promoted side and his replacement Castillo has his work cut out to replace him.
Right Mid: James Milner, Newcastle. I have to admit that right wing has been a troubled position for me so far in FM08, and Milner gets it almost by default because I've had him in three different games and there are no other stand out players. Scored during my brief stint as England manager against Argentina at WC2010. Shame we lost 5-1 really.
Strikers: Danny Haynes, Ipswich. He's scored more goals for me during my Ipswich career than any other striker, despite being worse than at least two of my other current ones. Has been a sub recently, but came off the bench to score the winner against Arsenal and an equaliser against Birmingham recently.
Arturo Lupoli, Fiorentina, Ajax, Man City, Palermo. I played as most of those teams for only a season or so, but Lupoli has been excellent in all of them. 50+ goals for Ajax, 38 in the league.
Honorable Mentions:
Mauro Zarate, Ipswich, Newcastle. In my Ipswich game we're having our difficult second season and to be perfectly honest this guys goals have kept us out of the drop zone. Would be ahead of Haynes if not for the fact that Haynes had been doing it longer.
Rok Kronaveter, Ipswich. The guy's name is Rok. THis would be enough for me, but he's also a damn fine player. Been at Ipswich for 2.5 seasons out of 3, after joining in January 2008.
Bench: Shane Supple (Ipswich), Vidal (Newcastle), Modric (Man City), Vanden Borre (Newcastle), Dalla Valle (Ipswich) |

Scored the winning goal in extra time in the UEFA Cup final for Crystal Palace. Still to this day, the only major silverware i've ever won in any FM series (if you don't count the Icelandic Premier League which i just won in FM08).
Not that i'm crap, i just 1. really like playing in the lower leagues, and 2. i usually get bored with my saves after a few seasons |
