Rep Power: 0 | Need a new ground Im Managing Elgin City, finished 3rd in the SPL, UEFA cup this season - 5 Million in the bank. Ive asked for a stadium expansion for the last 3 seasons as we have been filling out our 3,900 ground for every home game for 2 years, always asking the board to expand the stadium and they say they are already considering it - then nothing happens at the end of the season.
Has anyone had a new ground built for them? how is it announced in the news? Do they say they have started building a new stadium to be ready for next season with a capacity of 15,000 or whatever?
it well annoyed me that the board installed undersoil heating in our ground at a cost of £1.5 million when we dont make that in gate receipts in 5 years! |

Rep Power: 2 | It will just be announced as a new item which says "Elgin City announce plans for new stadium". It will tell you the details of the move in that new item.
In regards to nothing happening, are you sure you just aren't missing the news item? It maybe that the council have blocked planning permission, and you missed the news item when it said this? |

Rep Power: 0 | definately not missing anything, and if i request it again the board 'politely' remind me there are plans afoot to expand the stadium.
the only news item this year is the upgrading of the training facilites and installation of under soil heating.
what the norm for building the new ground? will i be moved to another ground while they demolish and rebulid on the old site? or will it be in say a year's time we will move completely?
its taken 5 years of toil to get us in this position, i have a real fear there is going to be a bug of some sort that means the ground will never get bigger than 3,900 |

Rep Power: 0 | They can only do one thing at the time and i think they consider upgrading the training facility's priority first.
When the answer was they consider it you could have given them a ultimatum.
Either they accepted it or they sacked you in that case.
But i do know that stadiums get expanded in the patched version. |

Rep Power: 0 | how can upgrading the training facilities be a priority over making money through gate receipts? if that the reason its a MASSIVE bug.
you can only give an ultimatum if they refuse to expand it |

Rep Power: 5 | I'd rather have my youth facilities upgraded than my stadium if it was a choice between the two. |

Rep Power: 39 | I have been 16 years at Merthyr Tydfil, promoted them from non-league to EPL, won several trophies and cups but I'm still no club favourite, and my stadium is only 10000 due to local council.
Just enjoy the game, there are lots of ungrateful people in the game :p |

Rep Power: 4 | I sold out a 10,000 seater in the Premiership for about... 7 or 8 years I think, every year at the end of the season planning permission was blocked. Eventually just out of the blue, they announced plans for a new Oktober Arena, 23671 seated. I'd think too that its much more likely if you have a very small ground - around 10=15000 is a nightmare to get a new one but under about 5000 there's clearly much quicker profit return from doubling or more, so they tend to do it. |
