Default changes to -10, -9 PA

Just a thought but does anyone reckon that the random potential PA indicators (-10, -9, -8) could be a little bit more random?

So instead of -10 being 170-200, it could be 160-200
and instead of -9 being 150 - 180 it could be 140 - 190 and so on

Its just that after playing the game a few times, it would be nice to see the near future turn out a bit more differently (instead there are some players that always turn into world-beaters). Lulinha for example, he is only 17, IRL he could turn out to be average.

I think the very nature of PA means it is quite random anyway.

I've had games where lulinha hasn't made it, simply because he was either over/under played or just badly trained, i think PA itself is fairly random, hence -10 and -9 are fair reflections of who could turn out to be world class.

I see what you mean, but in the game a -9 player could never beccome a truly world class player (by this i mean top 20/30). For example Gerrard is generally seen as one of these players yet i doubt in previous games, when he was young, he would have been given a -10.

No... that would make it much worse.
An 190PA player will probably be one of the best 3 players in the world. A 140PA player will probably struggle to get regular games at most Premiership clubs. There are very few players over the age of 17 for whom both of those possible outcomes are equally likely.

The problem with the PA bands is that there is no band which reflects the large proportion of players that you expect to become top-end Premiership regulars but have little likelihood of being World Player of the year contenders (160-180)
-9 leaves them with a high probability of failing to make it, -10 makes them probably too good.

True. I do often wonder what a player has to do to get the coveted -10 off the FM scouts. I suspect fabregas didn't have one when he was at barca, and i've noticed many players PAs drop (higuain, gago etc) but i suspect that any system would leave gaps for the over estimated or under estimated players.

You cant overplay a youngster. As long as he is fit there are no problems.
