Does the board mind that you did this.

I recall when playing FM2007 I managed club and a national team at the same time. Although he fans weren't to keen of me managing both teams at once though.

I don't think the board will mind, the will have same grips/expectations as always IMO.

No, the board doesn't have any concerns about international management. The only thing that may be annoying is that the game menu splits into club and country screens, which can be annoying to navigate. But the board only gets concerned if you become interested in jobs at other clubs.

yeah, the club + country menu was much better in fm07. :thdn:

strangely, i wondered why george burley decided to leave southampton for scotland today instead of doing both.

i play FM too much

What annoys me is that, if you take a national job and decide to leave your club because of it, the game wouldn't recognise this. It would just treat your leaving as it would if you hadn't taken a national job.

why would you leave your club job? internationals are once/twice a month on average; plenty of "continues", or holidays?

it always mentions the club vs country thing in the media when you take a national job...

it would be cool (but less involving) if you had to leave your club to do a national job, or at least have an option to choose.

Well, it wouldn't have a way of knowing, unless they gave an option when you accepted the national job to resign from your club job as well.

Personally, I think the leaving of the club should have a little more press than it does at the moment. Possibly a journalist asking why you left the club, or a player commenting on their disappointment at you leaving - possibly even some players handing in transfer requests, similar to the mass staff exodus. But that's a story for another thread.
