Default Always Losing

Hey Peeps,
Im always starting new games because of all the matches i lose.
Ive been a range of teams, but still I end up losing/drawing.
I follow a lot of tips on here, as well as using my own, but to no avail.
Most of the time, I end up clicking continue until my next match.
Obviously its not the way to go, but does anyone have any tips in what I can do a week before my matches?
And whether individual tactics are neccesary?
Thanks a lot

Preperation is the key to success, also so is patience and time.

Stick with one team and grin and bear poor results. Chopping and changing too often isn't the answer.

What do you do to prepare before matches?

Without any specific details, you'll only get the general response.

Depends on who you play when starting a new game, sign some cheap yet awesome players, you can find heaps of them in the Good Player Guide part of the forum. To me, the player you deploy is the most important part of your game. You can tweak or even change your formations. As long as you have good players in those positions. Team instructions can be tweaked, but no matter how much you finetune your tactics, it won't matter that much if your players aren't good enough.

Once you're able to get a few wins, then it gets alot easier for you to go on a roll.

I used to be like that - losing constantly, getting frustrated and losing patience with the game.

The trick is to persevere and slowly (and it will be slowly) learning the various nuances in the game e.g. how to react when the team you are beating put 4 players up front in the last 15 minutes to try and grab a goal.

You will continue losing for a while but gradually you'll start becomming aware of how you can impact the game, and results will begin coming in for you.

Saying that of course I've just finished my 4th season as Liverpool after finishing 2nd place (lost out on the Premiership on goals scored) and didn't have my contract renewed so you'll get sacked eventually!

But that's all part and parcel of FM08

Get to know your players. I'm currently managing Rangers in 2015 and when I joined them, they had Naismith in reserves. I had injury problems, and brought him up to senior and he's been hammering goals in for me left and right.

Also don't tweak formations too much. Players don't seem to like it. I changed Rangers formation and they were playing like ****. So I changed it back to a variation of their original formation and they've been producing great results.
