I hate being one of those people who say "It happened once in real life, therefore it can happen in the game", but when Tottenham lost 7-1 to Newcastle a few years ago, our goalkeeper Ian Walker was our man of the match; it could easily have been double figures if he hadn't made some great saves.
Do you have a screenshot of the match stats? Did you have a LOT of shots on target, which, whether they were good saves or not, would have bumped up their goalkeeper's rating quite a bit.
As for your keeper, I have no answer for that. Just seems that when a team wins by a lot, all of their players get given high ratings, even if they didn't actually do anything towards the win. |
