i was doing to pass the club challenge with huddersfield and a player's contract was expiring and i offered him a contract, he accepted it. May seam ordinary BUT when i had got him it said that i had brought him for 100k when i only had 35k to spend. Any ideas?

That's probably compensation. Just as a side from that, did you know that if you had bid £0 for him instead of offering a contract you could have signed him for nothing.

If the player was 23 or under then you'd have had to pay compensation for him which is what would have happened (as Sausage rightly thought).

This should be mentioned in one of the news items somewhere - if it isn't then I'll make sure thats rectified in the next version.
