i think that fans should have more effect on your teams performance

For example: Your fans are a big part of every football club. I think you should be able to choose the ticket price for each match, to try and encourage more fans to come to the match to inspire your team, or to make money from big games.

You should also get more feedback from your fans, as at the moment there is not much feedback from the fans. I think it would be good to see what ffans think about how every match went and how the players performed, not just as a team but as single people.

But a manager doesn't have any control over this IRL. The point is that it is a manager simulation.

Does a manager set ticket prices IRL?

No.

Therefore, should a game entitled "Football Manager" have the supposed manager setting ticket prices?

In my opinion, No.

(and presumadly in SIs as they would have added it years ago otherwise)

I do however agree that there is too little interaction with fans, the only feedback we get is from the board confidence feature, and there is no relationship between playing attacking flamboyant football and attendance.

There could be an event where the board recognise that a match against a lower rep oponent is important (e.g. at home to derby) and as such lower ticket prices to try and increase attendances, but i don't think this should be the managers choice/job. Although having said that i think fan days do a similar job.

To be honest they do absolutely nothing. They only boosted my average attendance by 10 people!

No manager in real life does this so it shouldn't be in the game. :thdn:

I would like to see a more detailed response from the fans after each game.

My fan day at Droylsden bought in around 100 more and bumped my crowds by about 50, when your average gate is 350 that's significant.
