Rep Power: 0 | Has there been any player you made into a superstar?
Have you ever signed a player that really excelled when they were under your managment?
For me, I would have to say it was Guiseppi Rossi.
I was managing Juventus when I signed him. Before I signed him, he has played for Man U, Villareal and Zaragozza. At each team, he did well, but not amazing. But once I signed him, he became a true world class striker.
In his first year under my wing, he scored 25 goals in the Serie A alone and in the second year, he scored 30, making him top scorer for 2 seasons running. The most he had scored in a season before that was 18. He also recieved his first cap for Italy after I signed him and went on to do great from them aswell, becoming the top goalscorer in the World Cup.

a regen striker named Bodo Hartung for my Werder team. He was the fifa world player of the year for 2018, and has been scoring goals and goal and goals. I bought him from relegated Arminia Bielfeld when he was 19 or so, and showing great promise scoring loads for a poor bundesliga side.
Now, he is valued at over 30million dollars.

Giuseppe Manco on CM 01/02 will always be my biggest superstar. Signed him from some crap Serie C/2 team in italy for my Roma team. Only bought him for a laugh really because his stats were 20 finishing, 20 composure, 20 off the ball, 20 heading and 20 jumping. Was a regen i think, but nevertheless this kid could score, averaging over 40 goals a season in the league alone, over 8 seasons.
When i got the Italy job, he carried that onto the international stage with a stupid scoring record. Can't remeber the exact stats seeing as the game is over 6 years ago lol, but he must've played at least 80 games, and i now for a fact he scored more than a goal a game.
I'll never forget you Giuseppe!!! lol

| Why would buying a player with stats like that be a laugh? And if he was a kid he must have had a lot of potential too.

Prudnikov was doing well at Benfica, but i signed him for real and he scored more than a goal a game in all comps, and got World, FIFA, European player of the year, and European Striker of the year.
He is awesome

quite a few, especially on 08 in the prem where I had access to an array of young talent, however the patch ruined my ability to load games properly but until then I had a policy of buying 2 future stars (almost all potentially leading prem players but barely decent champ players at the time) of 17 or 18 a season after an initial investment paid off, at a club like ipswich (after promotion of course) it came in handy. I only managed 5 prem seasons so hardly any reached their full potential but it did help bring success as a lot of the players played key parts, including my first youth signing, a central defender obtained for £500k from derby who liverpool tried to get for £20M (at the time he was valued about £5M, but that soon went up sharply), also a scottish goalkeeper who in his first season in the side (after one of development) was constantly brilliant, the highlight being a league cup semi which went to penalties and he directly saved 3, and he was only 'decent prem' class at the time. there were a few others that stood up.

FOr Derby, I nurtured David Jones for 4 seasons and ended up selling him to Man U for 25 million. That season scored 23 goals and guided me to 3rd, Fa Cup final and Uefa cup winners.
Next season in January have just sold Gyan to the pool for 38 million, over 12 months. I have also had a bid for my LB Vilagara (SP?) of 22 million from utd and 32 million for my AML Di Maria from the pool again. These players have been immense for 2.5 years and have flourished immensly. Cost a combined total of 16mil but are key players. I have saved it at this point because I do not know what to do!!!
I am currently 5 points ahead on January 10th and in the CL second round with Derby.

Henri Lansbury at Arsenal. only three seasons in, and i briefly had the message "the next David Beckham" pop up. never took a screenshot.
i retrained him to AMRC because of a shortage of available right wingers. he gets 4* for RM and 6* for AMC, despite Cesc and van der Vaart still being there.
i've had many more on earlier versions of FM, mainly portuguese strikers.

I dunno if you would call it a superstar, but with my Leeds United side, I signed Anthony Stokes while i was still in League One, and he scored me 43 goals in all competitions.
