Well done, KUTGW.
Although one slight point is, how realistic is it for a manager in his first season to spend 3 times more money per week on their wage budget than allowed?
I know it's not your fault, it is your boards fault, but I don't think the board would allow this in real life?
Gumble over, and good luck next year.

| But how many do they do? No idea for Belgium, but this year Weston-super-Mare (Blue Square South) played Plymouth, Bristol City and a Bristol Rovers XI at home. All league clubs, but all local (-ish in Plymouth's case). So it's not just about numbers, but where the teams are from.

| I'm a great believer in the LLM adage "If the board are stupid enough to let me spend their money then spent it will be".
As soon as they decide to let me decide when to upgrade the stadium, the youth facilities and the training facilities without asking them then the sooner I'll bother about wage budgets.
Financial matters are now part of the "Confidence" section.
If they don't like it they can (and have) sack(ed) me.

Your bank balance went from -180k to +22k. Was this all from revenue generated from friendlies? If so then I wouldn't be too happy with this being realistic. I can't see many small clubs making 1/4 of a million just from friendlies.
KUTGW!!

I know what you are saying iajafer, I just think as soon as you went above your wage budget in real life, your board would simply block any further transfer activity.
I think it is a small bug that SI should really sort out, as I think it's unrealistic, go over by a few quid is fine, but treble the wage budget???? come on!!! |

Trebling the budget's subjective and can mean a huge difference in actual spending.
If your weekly budget's £4k then trebling it makes it £12k.
A huge difference, I'm sure you'll agree, from if your weekly allowance is £12k and it trebles to £36k.
Differences of £8k and £24k.
Now...add a zero to those figures

Have to disagree, skershaw.
The board tell me what I can offer each player in wages. Twice this season I've sacrificed transfer budget to increase my wage budget. If they still let me offer a player a couple of grand a week when I'm over budget, that's up to the board.
That's only for good players though. Anyone average and I'm severely restricted in terms of what I can offer them.

| All budgets are subjective, but I used it in reference to what this guy had said he'd done.
A 1.5k wage budget, trebled to 4.5k per week.
Now we are talking about Lower League Management, and if your wage budget is 1.5k then your board will have budgeted that this is the maximum they could afford to spend. If you treble it, you are putting your club at risk of falling into financial ruin. On this basis, Paisley in disguise's team of Kapellen would have to somehow find an extra 150k over the year to cover it.
That is why I think this is coded wrong on FM.
If you take it subjectively and relate what has happened here to say Man Utd.
I don't know what Man Utd's weekly wage budget is on FM, but say it's 1.5 million, to do to Man Utd what this guy has done to Kapellen would mean that Man Utd's weekly wage budget would increase by 3 million per week to 4.5m?
Realistic? No.

| I agree mkus, if your board are stupid enough to let you go over your wage budget, then it's upto you whether you do or no.
Like I said before, it's not your fault, the fault lies at the board.
My point is that I don't think a board at the level we are talking about in LLM would allow this to happen.
But your point was that you offered a couple of grand to a player when already over budget? I bet that your wage budget was alot larger than 1.5k, and I bet you came nowhere near trebling it?
