What sort of teams have you been that has got you bored of the game? If it's big teams why not try 1 of the lower league teams or visit the challenges forum and have a search to see if anything interests you.

Hey there,

Happens to everybody!

First thing, maybe take a week or two "off"?

Eventually, you'll get bitten by the bug again, and you'll want to pick it up again. By then, maybe 8.0.2 patch will be out, and you can start a new save with the latest transfers and bug fixes.

Second thing, try something different.

If you always play a big English club, challenge yourself to a league you're less familiar with. You can always set England to "active", and switch to an English club sometime into your career if that's what you want!

Challenge yourself to come up with a new tactic. Always play 4-4-2? Try 4-5-1. Or 5-3-2. Or anything that gets you intrigued.

Third thing, try one of the challenges from the Challenges Forum.

Dafuge's and Gundo's will both give you fits, if you're used to the EPL.

Fourth thing, try writing a story.

That's what got me back into it, the last time this bug seriously bit me. The FM Stories forum could always use another author!

Fifth thing, identify what you enjoy the most, and run a save-game which focuses on that.

For example, I like bringing youth through: scouting, coaching, getting them their debut, and seeing them turn into a quality player.

So, I could focus on that aspect by playing a save-game in which I try to only use graduates of my youth academy, or in which I don't let myself purchase players over the age of 19.

Hope one of those ideas "speaks" to you - good luck getting back into it!

Wait for 8.0.2, forget 8.0.1, and start again.

(From someone who hopes and prays that 8.0.2 rekindles the love affair)

When I'm bored of FM, I always find it best to give a rest for a few weeks. Play some different games, go out more, watch some DVD's, whatever it is you decide to do, when you do get back to playng FM, you'll likely to be in the mood for it again.

Same here.

Once I start getting bored, I just go play other things. Eventually the interest will come back, and you'll be addicted all over again.

Start playing World of Warcraft, that will soon take your mind off FM...and everything else for that matter.
