1 season almost over and I am currently 10th with Chester City. Not bad, but not great. I just feel as though I need some confirmation that I am playing the right way.
In a nutshell I play slow, short and wide attacking at home, and narrow, direct and quick counter-attacking away from home.
Well thats how the games begin anyway. Say I go one nil up, should I go more defensive or just leave everything and then hope I go two up and then go defensive?
And how exactly do people go about killing a game off? Should I go slow, narrow, deep and turn of forward runs? or should I keep it play quick direct counterattacking?
I'm just very confused to be fair, and although I do spend time reading all the posts on here, nothing seems to quite give me an answer. (cue someone linking me to the perfect thread in there reply

)
I dont mind that the game is a lot more tactical than it used to be, I just wish that we had some more information about what we were supposed to do with it!
Sometimes whilst I'm reading these forums I can imagine MV reading it as well and chuckling to himself about all the debates about RoT etc. and saying "All they have to do is play _____ (insert formation here)".
And whatever happened to SI commenting on Tactics board? I would love to hear from one of them just to let us know if we are on the right tracks!
Ok by then, thanks for listening
