Default MLS Senior Internationals

I completed season 1, winning the title. Odd rule, 25% of every transfer sum is deposited into the MLS bank account... I like the starlet teams and the drafts though, gives a cool extra dimension to the game. Every MLS team is unable to sign players U20 from Canada and the USA, so no need to develop your own talents.

What puzzles me is the whole Senior and Junior International rule. Most players that are deemed Internationals never played an international game and they aren't in the squad of their nation. I had a 23 year old Brazilian who was deemed a Senior International for Brazil, despite having no caps and not being called up EVER for the the Seleçao... Any pointers here?

Senior International = A foreign player who is 25 or older at the beginning of the season

Youth International = A foreign player who is 24 or younger at the start of the season

Hope that helps

...and remember, you can have 7 "international" players all together but only a Maximum of 4 Senior's

(unless you're playing as toronto, in which case you get a few extra international slots for american players, never been them though so couldn't say how many.)

Well, the good news is you won't have to worry about this rule for fm 09. haha MLS is changing SI and YI to just foreign slots and adding an eighth slot too. With the addition of the CONCACAF champions league, it's a pretty exciting time for MLS fans. =)

Much obliged. I'm playing as Toronto and this bit was the only rules bit I didn't understand.
