Masquerade is infamous around these parts
Default Favourite Club

I realise that with the sheer plethora of problems the current release possesses that suggestions for further feature which could be equally flawed by design or concept may not be entirely welcome but this is just an idea that's been floating around my mind for a while now.

What with all the seemingly useless media information the game sends us day in, day out (there really should be a junk folder) I think it would be a nice touch to have something we actually want to know sent our way. When I choose my favourite club at the start of the game I think it would be good to receive media stories relating to that club if the player is not in control of it e.g Important results, Big transfers, Cup and League positions and so forth.

Anyone else agree?

I got one idea from you now .
Lets say your coaching Birmingham(what ever team)
and you have lazio as favorite team.
And lazio gets drawn to play against tottenham, then media should ask you to comment the match!
Which player would be the key or which way to play against them etc
I hope you get my point here

I swear that this was the case on FM06.

My favourite club is always coventry city and on FM06 I got news items about transfers and management appointments, even when I was managing abroad.

Was a bit disappointed this isnt still in there..

i think it was in fm06

i think it should be like when a former player comments on a big match or the managers abilty, but they do it from a fans point of view, usually its the teams favoured personal but sometimes with me its just someone who player there for a season

"former elland road favourite alan smith says new manager has what it takes."

usually something like that i get

Perhaps this is hoping a bit too much given that you can't even get news about important events at the moment without hunting for it, e.g. sackings, players being released etc. Also considering the messed up state of the media comments I think commenting on other clubs could be like trying to run before you can walk.

i think (after fixing other things) they should have like a sky sports news thing like on, wait for it, premier manager 01/02, it just gave important news on your countrys clubs and stuff like how much money certain clubs had to spend and such like, it was nowhere perfect but a gem in an otherwise poor game
